SERVICES I OFFER
My hourly rate is $140. I want my fee to be manageable for all clients so I am open to discussing a sliding scale fee to make therapy affordable.   I am currently in the process of joining multiple insurance and EAP plans as an in-network provider; until then, I am accepting private payments, and can also provide monthly billing statements to submit for reimbursement. Please contact your insurance provider to verify their policy.  Cash or checks are accepted for payment.
INDIVIDUALÂ THERAPY
Struggling to maintain the balance of one’s own happiness while meeting life’s demands can cause anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and many addictions. We live in a fast-paced world, often trying to fit too much on our plate, which can lead to unhealthy coping patterns, such as poor communication (shutting down or being explosive), excessive drinking or drug use, or avoidant behavior such as shopping or overusing the internet. Living a happy and fulfilled life is about creating balance of wants and needs while utilizing coping skills to enrich your life, not make it more difficult. My goal is to assist with improving coping styles that are more effective and satisfying. I use a variety of approaches to achieve short and long-term goals while providing the opportunity for clients to gain a better understanding of themselves and develop tools for immediate symptom relief.
ADOLESCENT THERAPY
Teenagers have long been testing the boundaries of parental rules, social constructs, and personal identification, but in today’s world, adolescents are being forced to manage these stressors at a more concentrated rate. Technology and social media expose teens to mass amounts of stressors often overloading their emotional wiring systems; this includes: social events they are included or excluded from, friend group inclusion or exclusion, drug use trends, pressures surrounding appearance and material objects, academic, athletic and extracurricular performance, and so on. It can be difficult to feel understood or accepted by parents or peers which can lead to feelings of isolation, anxiety, sadness, and depression. Having a therapist can help teens express their emotions without fear of judgement. This is a formative time therefore, investing in self-care and healthy emotional development can reduce the incidents of drug use and poor coping mechanisms. Therapy can provide support managing emotions and developing healthy skills to navigate these difficult years. I offer a direct approach with teens to model healthy boundaries in a supportive environment.
FAMILYÂ THERAPY
Each family member represents a moving part in the engine we call family. We impact our family members by what we do and say and while we usually have good intentions, we can often get entrenched in patterns of unhealthy communication, discord of following family rules and guidelines, or even unhealthy coping such as substance abuse. Family therapy offers a safe place to discuss the discord and identify improvements for each member of the family. Like an engine, when one part gets repaired, another part needs adjustment. Sessions will consist of identifying ongoing problems and working to help each person feel more understood, while practicing healthy communication and boundaries.
My hourly rate is $200. I want my fee to be manageable for all clients so I am open to discussing a sliding scale fee to make therapy affordable.
I do not accept insurance, although I can prepare an invoice that may be submitted to your insurance company for compensation. Please contact your insurance provider to verify their policy.
